One of the stereotypical assumptions about people interested in the horror genre is that we're all a bunch of tattooed and pierced freaks.
I'm OK with that generalization.
So, what have you got? What are you planning on getting? Is there any special significance to any of your ink?

All right, I'll start Upper Right arm. Roughly translates as "Servant of Calliope" or "Calliope's Servant." The scroll was a brilliant suggestion. I always said I would get a tattoo to celebrate my first paid publication. When "Mr. Hanson Goes to the Lab" was accepted I knew I needed to start thinking. I liked the idea of honoring the muses while at the same time noting that writing was something I had to do. The Greeks didn't have a muse of zombie fiction, so I went with the muse of epic poetry. I've got two tats right now. But there are in places that make it difficult to take a self portrait. (pervs!) I'll post them later!
I plan to get at least two more - both memorials, one for my folks and one for my brother. Hubby knows a great tattoo artist so I've got to get a meeting with him ASAP!!
None of mine will have anything to do with writing or horror (yet) but encompass my obsession with dragons. I want each tattoo I get to have some dragon element in it. Probably want to get one that has music in it before writing. Found some great clip art with a dragon and music note. Awesome.

My turn! I've got a really stupid scar on my left breast from something stupid i did in college and so after many years of looking at it and thinking "god, that was stupid" I decided I'd permanently cover it with sub dermal injections of brightly colored, food grade ink. I decided since it was right over my heart, I figured I'd so something really special and cover the something stupid with a nice memorial. My maternal grandmother and I share a birthday and her nickname was Boop - as in Betty. She looked just like her too - curly hair, shapely and a lot of fun. I looked for months for just the right Betty Boop tat and all of them looked not quite classy enough. While in Royal Oak, flipping through the eight-millionth book on Betty's when I asked the lady - "what do you have in fairies?" The one on my left breast is just like my favorite necklace (at the time). The one on my lower back is very much like the pick I used to keep in my signature line when I lived on various forums like "Ultima Thule" and "The Witches Thicket" on Delphi and Pagan/Wiccan on About.com I'll hunt for a back one in the am...

I don't know how to put the pic directly in the post so this attachment is my lower back tattoo (I got this right before the Tramp Stamp became popular but note I did not get a butterfly or the sun or tribal image for mine). Designed by a cool guy at Eternal in Rochester. Attachments:

Ah, the image does show up in the post. Yay! This is of my right shoulde blade. It's my first tattoo and I got it in Toronto from Adam at Way Cool Tattoo. Bloor Street. This was from the book but instead of it being purple I had him make it red. Attachments:

I don't have a picture of mine...I'll have to take one...it's on my right ankle and it's a triskel. I found the design when I was in Scotland. I plan on getting another one on my left ankle, of a peace sign with the name of my Tribe, from "Hair", the show I just did. I also want an angel, but haven't found the right one yet.

All I've got is a 2 gauge earring in my left ear presently. I wouldn't mind getting a tat sometime.
