Hey Everyone,
I'm trying to get an idea of who might be interested in attending a writing retreat this summer and what dates might be good for you.
Last year we had a fun, if sparsely attended (um...intimate gathering? Is that the phrase we're using?) weekend up at a cabin near Oscoda. We focused on writing during the day and relaxed a bit in the evenings.
While this is a fun weekend, we would really like it to be focused on writing, so we'd appreciate it if only the writers attended. In other words, leave the spouses, kids, and pets at home.
I know that there are lot of things going on over the summer (birthdays, graduations, conventions, family vacations, etc). If you are interested in participating, please reply with the weekends that you can NOT participate. I'll figure out what works best for the most people and see what I can do about acquiring the space again.

I'll start things off with a couple of eliminations. I work every other weekend (but can sometimes work around this so it's not a deal breaker).
26 June is out 4th of July weekend, similarly out. 24th of July, not so good.

Jennifer and I would love to come and plan on it, we just need sometime to get the time off. July or August works for us sine it gets damn hot down here then. But here's a question: Since there is no spouses allowed do either Jennifer or I have to stay home?

This would probably be a gigantic help to attend. I don't think I have any weekend this summer planned out at "absolutely cannot go," so pick a weekend and I'll be sure to keep my calendar clear.

The only weekends I can't make are July 11 (Elizabeth Graduation Party ) and August 25-26 because we're sending our baby off to Syracuse. Other than that I am reaosnably flexible.

I have nothing planned yet for this summer, so I'm open for any weekend.

A quick update on the status of the Writer's Retreat:
Due to scheduling conflicts, it does not look like we will be having the retreat this summer. I am looking at dates in September.
