As many of you know, the GLAHW hosts an annual Halloween party. Costumes are not required, but are suggested (we will mock you if you show up in street clothes). In the past we have had dancing, games, a Chinese auction with terrific prizes, costume contests, and a whole lot of fun.
Most importantly, this is a big revenue generator for the literacy programs we sponsor.
What we need this year, is a location. That's where you come in.
No, we're not going to have the party at your house.
Unless you're offering...
Ahem, sorry. We are looking for a space which can hold a number of people, preferably one with a liquor license (hey, we're all adults here, right?). Ideally it would be a place where we could charge people admission (all of this awesome isn't free) and keep the majority of the proceeds from the door. Centrally located (ie. not out in BFE) is a big plus.
Do you know of someplace like this? Does your family own a bar? Can your Uncle get us the Royal Order of Water Buffalo's lodge house? Ask people, call around, get on your bikes and ride. We need your suggestions by the July meeting so we can finalize plans and start advertising this mother.
